SuperVision Earth becomes first German company to join ESA  +InCubed

We are pleased to be the first German company to be awarded the InCubed contract by the European Space Agency (ESA). The Activity will develop an automated satellite-based system that combines AI and Satellite Monitoring for pristine routine pipeline monitoring.

ESA’s InCubed programme, together with TSOs; Entega AG and Terranets, will support the development of the SuperVision Space application. The SuperVision Space application is an automated satellite-based monitoring solution for routine pipeline monitoring. SuperVision’s SVS application effectively allows its constituents to achieve regular monitoring activities with low costs, more frequency and greater flexibility.

Jan Kolmas, SuperVision Earth’s COO and co-founder said: ‘’We are honoured to be the first German company to sign a contract with ESA’s InCubed programme. This activity is essential to SuperVision Earth’s mission of making gas infrastructure more secure, with a positive impact on the reduction of CO2 emissions, increased competitiveness of the European EO and AI sectors, and generation of high-tech jobs in Europe.’’

SuperVision Earth’s consortium partners are testing and validating the solution for its future usage on their pipeline grids. The official kick-off of the activity took place on 23 March 2021.

Amanda Regan, InCubed programme manager, added: ‘’This activity offers an innovative solution aimed at gas and energy pipelines monitoring. This is the first German InCubed contract to be signed and we would like to thank both SuperVision Earth and the German Delegation. This is an innovative concept which will contribute to the overall European EO commercial landscape.’’
